Acrylic, aluminum, roofing tar, pulverized granite, India ink on canvas

For this piece, I wanted to explore what it means to save something from being lost.  Using materials such as recycled aluminum, sea salt, roofing tar, and India ink, I sought to convey the journey to find meaning in life’s most difficult of times. When we suffer, strive, regret, or are wounded in some way, we enter a process of self-care, healing, and growth which can make us more beautiful, luminous, wise, and compassionate than we were before.
